Well, like the title says. I don't really have anything to say. I've been noticing I seem to have alot of lurkers but few comments. Oh, well. I just want anyone who's paying attention to feel free to give some feedback, even if it's as simple as "cool" or "this sucks".

Anyway, I'd like to wish you all a safe and happy holiday season.

Wow, it's hard to believe that this government shutdown is still in full effect. I understand that some people really hate Obama Care. I really don't have an opinion on it since I don't know the details of it. What I do know is that there is now way Obama will back down on his stance since doing so would entail three things. One, it is his corner stone policy and it has already passed through congress. Two, if he caves he may as well throw away the rest of his presidency because he will be strong armed from here on out. Three, caving in would open the door for minority factions to hold the government hostage by attaching addendums to critical pieces of legislation that really should be exempt from the normal practice of legislative silliness. The tea party is practicing dirty politics, and they barely represent 5% of the United States.

Anyway, I figure that even though chatty is not my style, I really need to try and keep this page current.

First off, to anyone who has added me to their watch or faved something during my absence from deviant; thank you very much. I'll do my best to respond directly from here on in.

We just recently came back from the Phoenix comic con and I have to say that it went really well. We sold out of "Dead Horizon" books, but prints were definitely the hot seller. I had a lot of people ask me about my book was coming out and I made some promises that I intend to keep. Did I mention how gorgeous those Phoenix con girls are? It is definitely an event we plan on attending regularly.

How is stuff going in El Paso you might ask? Well... tumultuous as ever and there really is no end in sight.

Actually this was one of the coolest FCBDays I've been to in a while and I just want to give my thanks to the dudes at Dave's for giving Project 4 the royal treatment.

We are Project4 Studios, a bunch of guys and gals hailing from El Paso, TX who got together because we love to create comics.  We're not pretending to be a publisher. What we are is a collective of self publishers who all self publish under the same banner. And we do it with genuine love, passion and respect for the craft.

The difference is, we won't try to tell you what's hot and what's not, but instead work hard enough to create comics that are worth your time and money.  Here, we are learning the craft, not just the anatomy of what's on a page, but the process of bringing that together which insists on some form of quality control rooted in structure.  

We are preparing our talent, who are really just friends, to go out there and understand that to do this for a living means understanding the rules.  No rush jobs here. Instead we are comitted to quality that stems from meeting deadlines, appreciating an editor's insight and accepting criticism because a lot of people are going to see the work speak for itself anyway. So why not put forth your best?

  We are teachers, and students alike, all trying to raise ourselves to a level higher than what's normally accepted in small press. With that said, thanks for checking us out.  Hopefully, you'll like what you see.
